Christian Women's Society

At St. Aloysius we welcome women of all ages.  Since shortly after the church doors opened the first time, the Christian Women of St. Aloysius have continued to serve the parish whenever and however needed.  Our group meets most second Tuesdays, with exceptions for the summer and the occasional weather related issues.

While we may not gather for a meeting each month, we do gather to celebrate Mass together at the 10:30 AM Mass each second Sunday.  Throughout each month and the year, we continue to pray for each other and our loved ones.  We gather to pray the rosary and we take time for special prayers at the funeral of one of our members.  We truly are a great support for each other.

We hold various social and religious events throughout the year.  Members visit the homebound and nursing homes.  We support foreign missions as well as many missions in the United States.  We collect baby items to be given to BirthRight and Archdiocesan Catholic Charities.  We also continue to support the parish as need arises.

If you would like to join us, please contact the parish office or Mary Ellen at 545-2077.

From the official MACCW website:

"Milwaukee Archdiocese Council of Catholic Women (MACCW)

We are an organization united to support, empower, and educate all Catholic women in spirituality, in leadership, and in service, consistent with the teachings and tradition of the Catholic Church. Founded on December 8, 1920, our membership consists of parishes or individual women of faith and action. You can become deeply involved or just enjoy the benefits of membership and know that you support an organization that is working to make a difference in an indifferent world.

We are women of action. Our goals are to help women to be a presence in their parish and community and to offer an opportunity for personal and spiritual growth; to stimulate the work of existing Catholic women’s organizations to greater service in meeting the issues of the day. This is accomplished through seminars, workshops, conventions and opportunities for spiritual formation.  Join us for one of our many upcoming events such as, days of reflection, church tours, Layette dinner, annual convention and service opportunities..."
